Question: What’s the worst cut you have seen in boxing?

Declan Taylor (Boxing journalist)

The one down the middle of Badou Jack’s forehead in his fight against Marcus Browne takes some beating but Stephen Smith nearly losing his ear against Francisco Vargas is somehow worse. Some websites still pixelate it out because it’s so graphic.

Miles Shinkwin (Former English champion)

I’m not sure they’re the worst but Ricky Hatton’s cuts in his fight against Jon Thaxton were pretty bad. I remember thinking at the time that if that was any other British fighter it would have been stopped. But Ricky was a huge draw.

Derek Williams (Former European champion)

Owing to the nature of boxing, there have been some really terrible cuts throughout its history but one that comes to mind is Vitali Klitschko’s cut eye when he had Lennox Lewis in trouble. That fight was memorable because history could have been rewritten if Klitschko had won. It also forced Lewis into retirement.

Lyon Woodstock (Super-featherweight prospect)

The worst cut I’ve seen in boxing is probably the one that appeared on Badou Jack’s forehead in his fight against Marcus Browne. That looked so painful. I swear you could even see his skull.

Question: What will happen when Dereck Chisora and David Price fight on October 26?

Declan Taylor

This is one of the hardest fights to call for years because David Price has the eraser to end all erasers in his right hand. I just wonder whether he will be able to handle this new-look Chisora up close, winging hooks over the top. Either way, someone’s getting knocked out.

Miles Shinkwin

Both fighters are on the crest of a wave and it’ll all boil down to mental fortitude and who can implement their strengths on fight night. History would say Dereck has the better record in this, so the smart money is on ‘Del Boy’. But never write off a man with the attributes of big Pricey.

Derek Williams

Chisora vs. Price is an interesting fight. I see it as a better fight than Chisora vs. Joseph Parker. I was tipping Chisora to beat Parker. With Price, though, if he is able to hold his nerves together, I think he stops Chisora in the middle rounds.

Lyon Woodstock

I feel sorry for David Price because I think Chisora is going to absolutely knock his head off. Price shouldn’t be fighting Chisora. I personally think he should have stopped boxing three or four fights ago. Taking heavy knockouts like he does is just not good for the noggin.
