After David Benavidez ran through Gilberto ‘Zurdo Ramirez’ with ease, two-division world champion Tim Bradley can only see one winner in a potential fight with Jai Opetaia.

Despite moving up 25lbs, Benavidez needed only six rounds to dispatch of Ramirez, becoming a three-division ruler and rising up the pound-for-pound rankings. Although, his future in the division is unknown, due to previous plans of returning to light-heavyweight and facing Dmitry Bivol.

However, with Bivol possibly tied up in two fights before that can take place, fans are hoping that ‘The Mexican Monster’ will hang around in the 200lb division and next fight Opetaia, regardless of the fact that the Aussie has signed with Zuffa Boxing and stripped of his IBF world title.

Before witnessing Benavidez’s beatdown of Ramirez, Bradley declared that Benavidez would comfortably overcome Opetaia and he seemed even more convinced when he told his YouTube channel that Opetaia is not on Benavidez’s level, after watching Saturday’s fight.

“Jai Opetaia is going to get his a** whooped by David, oh yeah. Jai, bring your a** on. David ain’t going nowhere. He beats the s**t out of Jai Opetaia too, he ain’t on your damn level either, no.

“Jai likes to take breaks too, he can box, he got feet, yep, but you are going to be on that a**, you are going to be putting them combinations on his a**, with that speed and power? Damn, David had power too!”

Benavidez could also move up to the heavyweight division, with his father eyeing up another ‘crazy’ move for ‘The Mexican Monster’.
