Manny Pacquiao fight time plus date and venue

THE retirement of Manny Pacquiao has proved short-lived. In his last ‘last’ fight he beat Tim Bradley in good style. That was only in April. He has been elected to the Senate in the Philippines and in recent weeks has been juggling work as a Senator with training to take WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas, in the latter’s home city, Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday (November 5).

Rounds scheduled

12 three minute rounds.

TV coverage

In Britain BoxNation are broadcasting. Their transmission of the undercard begins at 1am in the UK. Promoter Top Rank are handling the pay-per-view television broadcast for this themselves, 9pm ET/6pm PT. It’s also be available through Top Rank TV online. (And don’t forget to check out our live blog on Boxing News Online.)

Undercard highlights

This bill is packed with world title fights, no less than three besides the main event. In what should be an excellent clash Nonito Donaire, boxing for the first time on the same bill as his countryman Pacquiao, is unleashed against unbeaten American Jessie Magdaleno for the WBO super-bantamweight title.

WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez is great to watch. He makes the first defence of his title against Hiroshige Osawa.

Zou Shiming, a two time Olympic gold medallist and a huge favourite in China, gets a second shot at a world title. He’ll box for the WBO flyweight belt against Prasitsak Phaprom, whom Zou has beaten before over the course of 12 entertaining rounds in Macau in 2014.

Brazil’s Rio 2016 hero, Olympic gold medallist Robson Conceicao makes his professional debut.
