John Molina, Raymundo Beltran and Shane Mosley Jnr suspended

Light-welterweight John Molina, lightweight Raymundo Beltran and middleweight Shane Mosley Jnr have all been suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission because of failed drugs tests.

The decisions were made at the Commission’s monthly meeting yesterday, and all three must also pay a fine alongside their suspension.

Following his points loss to Adrien Broner in March, Molina tested positive for Furosemide, a diuretic used for weight loss and as a masking agent for steroids.

He was suspended for seven months and fined $90,000 and must produce a clean test in order to be relicensed, which he can apply to do on October 7.

Beltran tested positive for the anabolic steroid stanazol following his second-round knockout win against Takahiro Ao in May, which was supposed to be for a vacant lightweight title but Beltran was unable to make weight.

He has been suspended for nine months, fined $25,500 and must also produce a clean test in order to regain a license to fight.

Mosley Jnr, son of former three-weight world champion Shane Mosley Snr, tested positive for Adderall, an amphetamine used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, after his first-round knockout win against Jason Kelly on a Big Knockout Boxing show in June.

Although he had a prescription for Adderall, he did not notify the commission on his prefight questionnaire or seek a therapeutic use exemption.

He was suspended for seven months and fined $6,250.
