John Molina drastically fails to make weight for Terence Crawford fight

John Molina

JOHN MOLINA drastically failed to make weight as he attempts to challenge Terence Crawford. The latter is the unified WBC and WBO super-lightweight world champion but Molina, who boxes him at the Century Link Center in Omaha, Nebraska, came in four pounds over the limit at 144lbs.

Crawford scaled 139 1/2lbs.

At the second attempt Molina came in at 143 1/2lbs. Their fight will still go ahead but the titles are not available to Molina, in the unlikely event that he wins.

Ray Beltran (133 1/4lbs) boxes Mason Menard (134 1/4lbs) on the undercard and Sean Mongahan (179 1/4lbs) will also be in action against Fernando Castanada (177 3/4lbs).
