Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is the fight that all of the United Kingdom is talking about – even if it may take place on foreign shores, and now British middleweight Chris Eubank Jr has offered his thoughts on the clash.

The long-awaited showdown between two of Britain’s two-time heavyweight rulers is expected to go ahead before the end of the year, pending the success of both men in their respective summer warm-up bouts.

In July, Anthony Joshua will take on Albania’s Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in what will be his second fight with Iegor Golub as his trainer – the other being somewhat of a gimmick, when tasked with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Meanwhile, Fury is anticipated to return in August, linked to another Albanian in Nelson Hysa. Although, it appears as though previous suggestions that he could appear in Dublin, on the Pierce O’Leary vs Mark Chamberlain card, may be incorrect.

Still, excitement continues to build ahead of a meeting that has been debated for over a decade, and Eubank Jr told Boxing King Media that he feels that Joshua ‘has the edge’, believing that ‘AJ’ has looked after himself better throughout his professional career.

“I think that AJ has been a lot more disciplined than Fury has during his career and I think that he is probably in a better headspace right now, mentally, and probably physically too. I wasn’t that impressed with Tyson Fury’s last fight.”

“I think that, if that fight happens, then AJ probably has the edge.”

Joshua’s ring return against Prenga will take place on Saturday, July 25, and Fury himself has shared his thoughts on the ability of that opponent.
