MANNY PACQUIAO has announced his return to boxing.
He will box Argentina’s Lucas Matthysse on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It is a world tour of sorts. Pacquiao hasn’t boxed since a surprise defeat to Jeff Horn in Australia last year, which saw him lose his WBO welterweight world championship.
“It’s on! Can’t wait to challenge Lucas Matthysse for another world title on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malyasia – July 14 US time,” Pacquiao declared.
Oscar De La Hoya, who promotes Matthysse, said, “Signed, sealed, and delivered: proud to officially announce that WBA welterweight world champion Lucas Matthysee will put his title on the line against Manny Pacquiao in Kuala Lumpur, Malyasia on Saturday night July 14 (US time).”
