Manny Pacquiao agrees terms for Floyd Mayweather superfight

MANNY PACQUIAO has agreed terms to fight Floyd Mayweather Jnr.

The elusive superfight is edging closer and could take place on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

According to Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti, the Filipino superstar has agreed with Floyd Mayweatherโ€™s terms. It has been reported that the American will get 60 per cent of the purse, and has demanded USADA drug testing to take place.

โ€œTop Rank and Manny Pacquiao have agreed terms on our side,โ€ Moretti told ESPN. โ€œI donโ€™t know about the other side.โ€

Pacquaio โ€“ the WBO welterweight champion โ€“ has recently indicated that he expects the fight to be signed and sealed before the end of the month.

“I think that Manny agreed to USADA testing shows you his eagerness to make this fight,” Moretti said.

The television networks who represent the fighters โ€“ Mayweather is with SHOWTIME, Pacquiao with HBO โ€“ will not stand in the way of the fight happening and both have expressed a willingness to produce a joint PPV broadcast, much like they did in 2002 when Lennox Lewis fought Mike Tyson.
