UNLIKE Mayweather-Pacquiao, which was ultimately hurt badly by the ludicrously long wait, Carl Frampton against Scott Quigg has come along at exactly the right time. Both are unbeaten and desperate to remain so, and the anticipation is likely to be at fever pitch come February.

It’s certainly a good time to be a boxing fan, because when the sport is packaged like this, it’s simply irresistible.
