TYSON FURY said he would return to the ring following a two-and-a-half-year absence bigger and better, and has certainly lived up to one half of this promise.

The former world heavyweight champion weighed a career-heaviest 19 stone 10 pounds and 2 ounces (276 lbs) ahead of his comeback fight against Albanian Sefer Seferi. For context, Fury weighed 17 stone 9 pounds the day before he dethroned Wladimir Klitschko back in November 2015, and his heaviest weight before today was the 19 stone 8 pounds he weighed ahead of a 2014 fight with American Joey Abell.

Seferi, meanwhile, came in at 15 stone and 2 ounces (210 lbs).

This mismatch on the scales is expected to be replicated tomorrow night (June 9) when the pair meet at the Manchester Arena.

Flanagan, a former WBO champion at lightweight, weighed 9 stone 13 pounds and 5 ounces, while Hooker, his American opponent, weighed 9 stone 13 pounds and 4 ounces.
