SCARCELY a fortnight into his heavyweight championship reign, Tyson Fury has now been stripped of one of the three world title belts he won from Wladimir Klitschko on November 28.
Committed to a rematch with Klitschko, Fury would be unable to box the IBF title’s mandatory challenger, Vyacheslav Glazkov next. Removing the title from the Briton, the IBF has ordered that unbeaten Ukrainian Glazkov meet Charles Martin for the now vacant belt. The American is expected to withdraw from boxing Dominic Breazeale on December 12.
