Tyson Fury reveals Wladimir Klitschko rematch clause

Tyson Fury will return to Germany to meet Wladimir Klitschko again should he triumph

Matt Christie

3rd September, 2015

IF Tyson Fury upsets the odds in his world heavyweight title challenge to Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf on October 24, the Wilmslow giant will have to do it all over again. After sealing a deal instead of allowing the contest to go to purse bids, Fury agreed a rematch clause that will see a return, should he win the first fight, take place in Germany once more.

“There’s a rematch clause,” Fury revealed to Boxing News. “It’s back in Germany. I had to agree to it for the fight but I get a higher percentage of the money if we fight a second time.”
