Troy Williamson a surprise addition to Torrez-Vianello undercard

DARLINGTON middleweight Troy Williamson has found a way onto the Palms Casino Resort undercard this weekend. The 20-3-1 (14 KOs) former British super-welterweight champion will box Jahi Tucker, 13-1-1 (6 KOs), over 10 rounds.

Looking in fine shape as usual, the โ€˜Trojanโ€™ posted a pic on X/Twitter to celebrate his inclusion.

Jahi Tucker, 22, is a New Yorker on a run of three straight victories since a loss and a draw in back-to-back efforts that threatened to derail his career. Never afraid to take a hard fight, Tucker has shaken off those potential setbacks and been rewarded with another solid undercard slot, this time in Las Vegas.

Englandโ€™s Williamson is far removed from the kind of form that saw him beat Ted Cheeseman and Mason Cartwright. Troy has lost three out of his last four and what better than a Stateside shock to push him back into the title mix?

In the Top Rank show main event, Richard Torrez Jr looks to step up to the next level when he faces Guido Vianello at heavyweight. Lindolfo Delgado tackles Elvis Rodriguez in a tasty crossroads clash. Hot prospects Abdullah Mason, Albert Gonzalez and Art Barrera Jr also feature.
