When and why did you start boxing:
When I was 10, I watched Jack Osbourne on the TV show Adrenaline Junkie and I wanted to give it a try.
Favourite all-time fighter and why:
Katie Taylor because of the obstacles she had to overcome and how she has paved the way for female fighters.
Best fight youโve seen:
The first fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden.
Personal career highlight:
When I became a three-weight world champion last September, beating Rhiannon Dixon to win the WBO world lightweight title after being written off by most people.
Toughest opponent:
Sandy Ryan or Alycia Baumgardner for obvious reasons.
Best and worst attributes as a boxer:
My best is that Iโm humble and dedicated to the sport. My worst is probably that I am sometimes too nice.
Training tip:
Listen to your body. Rest is just as important.
Best friends in boxing:
All of my gym family.
What’s the attraction of boxing:
For me itโs the discipline and the sacrifice, both physically and mentally thatโs needed, which then translates on fight night.
Where would you be without boxing:
Still working at the chip shop.
What has boxing given you:
A very blessed life.
Who inspires you the most and why:
My nan. She has been through it all and is the strongest person to this day.
What one thing would you change to make the sport better:
Less online trolls.

Take every opportunity, no matter how big or small.
First-ever boxing memory:
The first time I walked into the boxing gym with my dad, I have never looked back since.
Something not many people know about you:
I am actually really boring and enjoy reading, walking, meditating, arts and crafts. I need to be in bed before 9 pm.
