ROCKY FIELDING is open to a fight with J’Leon Love later this year after the pair traded barbs on social media.
The Liverpool super-middleweight is looking to work his way back into the mix after squeaking past Christopher Rebrasse on a split decision in April.
Love, like Fielding, is on the search for an opponent and the two fighters have crossed paths online.
“A little while back I saw that he was looking for opponents, and someone suggested that me and him fighting would be good,” Fielding told Boxing News.
“I agreed, so I said to Love ‘let’s do it’ and he seemed up for it as well. Then it started again the other day – I’d like to fight him, I think it’d be a good fight for both of us.
“I reckon he’d come over [to the UK] for it as well. He seemed keen to fight someone, saying that he can’t get a fight, so I think he’d come over.”
Both are 28 years old and hold 22-1 records, each loss being an alarming knockout. In 2014 Love was stunned by unfancied Rogelio Medina in three rounds while Fielding was stopped inside a round by a marauding Callum Smith last November.

Las Vegan Love is promoted by Floyd Mayweather, and a mooted Matchoom [who promoted Fielding] v Mayweather Promotions card could still be in play.
Fielding does not yet have a date for his next fight though he expects news soon.
