THE entire fighting pack weighed in at the Sunderland Live Arena ahead of tomorrow evening’s DAZN card headlined by Pat McCormack and Miguel Parra, who contest the WBA Intercontinental crown. Both men looked in tremendous physical condition as hometown fighter McCormack aims to push on and make some noise in and around the world scene.
Further down the card, only Troy Williamson can win the English super-middleweight title after Mark Dickinson missed the 168-pound limit by five pounds. “He pushed himself, he struggled, and he didn’t make it,” was the verdict of Matchroom’s Frank Smith, who credited Williamson’s weight-making abilities.
Sandy Ryan is apparently “full of rage” as she looks to bounce back from a couple of world-level defeats. Leo Atang, at just 18, is being kept active on the road to development and title fights.
