Who would you like to see Yarde and Beterbiev fight next?

Jordan Gill (Former European featherweight champion)

The obvious answer would be Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed title. That’s obviously a mega fight. But, selfishly, from a British point of view I hope Beterbiev fights Callum Smith, who is looking devastating at light-heavyweight himself. I would love to see Yarde fight Joshua Buatsi next. Yarde’s stock rose in defeat at the weekend and I think that’s the fight to make next.

Joe Gallagher (Top trainer)

The obvious fight for Yarde would be Joshua Buatsi. That would be a huge fight in Britain and a great one, too. For Beterbiev, I’d love to see him face Bivol, only for the fact both of them have been champions in that division for a few years now and boxing this year really has to pull its socks up. The best must start fighting the best.

Ryan Walsh (Former British featherweight champion)

Yarde in an all-UK clash with either Joshua Buatsi or Callum Smith. I’d also like to see Beterbiev fight Bivol to unify the belts. After that, the winner of fight one fights the winner of fight two. It would be great to have a “Super Six” light-heavyweight tournament with these men involved.

Gareth A Davies (Journalist)

I’d like to see Beterbiev now face Bivol in a showdown for the undisputed light-heavyweight title. They’re both brilliant fighters and both undefeated: one has the power and the other has the sublime boxing skills. I think I have Beterbiev winning that fight even though before his fight against Yarde I would have picked Bivol. I would also like Yarde and Callum Smith to fight in an all-British classic. I think that would be a great clash of styles, with Yarde taking it to Smith. It’s hard to pick a winner in that one.
