Who would you like to see Gervonta Davis go in with next?

Gervonta Davis won his first bout at 140lbs. What should his next move be?

Who would you like to see Gervonta Davis go in with next?
Esther Lin/Showtime

Sam Maxwell
Rising super-lightweight

I’d love to see Gervonta Davis in with the winner of Lopez and Lomachenko. I know that will probably be next year now. “Tank” is so entertaining and the lightweight division has so many fights that I’d like to see.

Thomas Stalker
2012 Olympian

I’d like to see Davis fight Regis Prograis. Davis is a threat to the super-lightweights as he is so talented, though maybe his size will be a factor if he was to fight a Josh Taylor who is a big 140lbs.

Darren Barker
Former IBF champion

I think Josh Taylor deserves a massive fight, and would be too big and strong for him. Down at lightweight it’s out of Lomachenko and Lopez. I would like to see him stay at 140lbs. His balance, his footwork, his low centre of gravity, he generates so much power and has electric handspeed.

Andy Clarke
Commentator & podcaster

I’d most like to see him versus Lomachenko, that would be utterly fascinating, and with Lopez occupied with George Kambosos they could do it next. But that scenario is quite simply never going to materialise unfortunately.
