Who is the best light-heavyweight in Britain now?

Declan Taylor
Sports reporter

Right now I think it’s Callum Johnson based on seasoning and experience at the highest level but the others are not far behind. I feel like Joshua Buatsi is best placed to emerge as No.1 over the next five years, but Lyndon Arthur is the man who could spoil that for him.

Paul Ready
Boxing manager

Callum Johnson as he’s at world level and has proved that he can mix there at that level. Joshua Buatsi has the potential but needs to prove it.

Matt Macklin
World title challenger

I suppose none of us know. We need them to fight. You’ve got Callum Johnson who’s fought for a world title, Anthony Yarde and Lyndon Arthur and Buatsi. If they were thrown into a round robin now I think Buatsi would come out on top.

Darren Barker
Former IBF champion

I know there were question marks over Buatsi in his last fight. I think it will hold him in better stead as long as he learns from it. There’s a rawness to Buatsi that is really exciting. He’s skilled and he’s a big puncher but he can just bite down on his gumshield and let his shots go.

Natasha Jonas
Olympian & world title challenger

1. Callum Johnson. 2. Josh Buatsi. 3. Lyndon Arthur. 4. Anthony Yarde.

Tony Jeffries
Olympic medallist

I will tentatively say Joshua Buatsi but after Saturday’s brilliant performance Lyndon Arthur is a very close second. I wish Callum Johnson was more active because he is a great fighter and would be up there.
