A former two-weight world Frampton is one of Britain’s most high profile boxers. Despite Frampton finding himself next in line for Oscar Valdez’s WBO title, the Mexican champion is recovering from a broken jaw meaning the Belfast man could become free for a big domestic showdown possibly at Windsor Park. Frampton has stated he is open for the match-up despite viewing Valdez as a bigger fight globally.
Russell Jr has held a featherweight world title for the longest period of time out of all four current champions and the American’s dazzling hand speed would make for a thrilling encounter. Having defended his title on the same night as Warrington won, scheduling a potential match-up shouldn’t be a problem.

WBA world champion Leo Santa Cruz has previous history with Northern Ireland’s Carl Frampton and after their two meetings caught fire, a unification for the Mexican would be welcomed. Mares is also a three-weight world champion and a victory against Santa Cruz on his record would establish his reputation.

A unification bout for Valdez would be a welcome encounter however with the Mexican recovering from a broken jaw and Frampton next in line to challenge for his belt this match-up is not likely to be soon.

A former world champion and a veteran of the domestic scene, Quigg would act as a risky but respectable defence and with the hype and build up all-British showdowns attract, this fight would get people interested.
