5. ArthurAbraham

Abraham is known for his strength and accompanies it with a strong chin. When Abraham has failed to get into gear, for instance in fightsagainst Andre Dirrell and Andre Ward, he allowed them to land at will throughout but still wasn’t phased. Arthur Abraham also has a solid text book guard, making it difficult for even accurate punchers to land flush.

4. Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather has only rarely been hit on the ‘money’ in his long career. In 2004 DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corely nearly chopped down “Pretty Boy” Floyd at the time, and possibly the hardest Floyd has been hit was when he received a sugar rush from “Sugar” Shane Mosley with a right hand that left Floyd holding on. It proves though that in the occasional moments he’s needed to, Mayweather can take a solid shot.

3. Carl Froch

Despite recently retiring, “The Cobra” is recognized for venom in both hands, and he can take some punishment too; well, more than some. The Briton’s chin has been unique. He has risen from the deck to win notable fights, against George Groves, whom Froch went on to halt, and also against Jermain Taylor, whom Carl stopped in the last few seconds of their fight after conceding a knockdown.

2. Gennady Golovkin

Seemingly made of steel, the opponents contending for his alphabet titles have landed some telling blows during exchanges. Notably, if you look closely, Curtis Stevens, Daniel Geale got through with some offensive shots. (Golovkin’s chin is so solid he knocked out Geale whilst being hit in the face.) “GGG” shrugs punches off without flinching but will need testing from those at the height of the division.

1. Ruslan Provodnikov

Recently against Lucas Matthysse, whom chose to box Provodnikov, Ruslan disregarded his power and showcased relentless temperament. Hardly the complete boxer this is a perfect example of Provodnikov’s chin (and gluttony for punishment). The Russian absorbed 50% of Matthysse’s power punches, according to CompuBox. And Matthysse can punch hard.
