The Boxing News Power List 10-6

AFTER weeks of debate, the Boxing News Power List 2025 is nearing its conclusion. We now take a look at the penultimate group of individuals who are near the summit of boxing’s biggest power players.

Let’s see who is at numbers ten to six.

10. Nick Khan

Khan is set to have a meteoric impact on the boxing landscape, starting with his involvement in Canelo vs Crawford. While the extent of his power remains to be seen, the fact that TKO Group – of which, Khan is a director – looks to reform the Ali Act suggests that, for better or worse, his influence is only just beginning.

9. George Warren

The cool-headed, laser-focused Warren has earned his stripes as one of this sport’s most clinical operators. Soon enough, the Queensberry promoter is expected to be at the helm of his family business, but has already proven to be a worthy successor to Frank, his father, particularly after brokering a lucrative broadcast deal with DAZN earlier this year. Since that landmark moment, Queensberry has only gone from strength to strength.

8. Oscar De La Hoya

With more than 20 years of skin in the promotional game, De La Hoya has encountered his fair share of swings and roundabouts. Nevertheless, the charismatic, yet often controversial, Golden Boy boss boasts a solid stable, including Ryan Garcia, Vergil Ortiz Jr and flyweight queen Gabriela Fundora. Even without Canelo Alvarez, De La Hoya remains a ferocious force.

7. Shay Segev

In his quest to make DAZN the “global home of boxing”, Segev has, all things considered, done a remarkable job. Three of the sport’s leading promoters are, after all, on his streaming platform, while Turki Alalshikh – for now, at least – has extended his relationship with the DAZN CEO. In fact, Segev announced earlier this year that, for Alalshikh’s events, there will soon be no more pay-per-view costs.

6. Al Haymon

Haymon is no longer the dominant force he was around 10 years ago, when he almost created a UFC-style promotion. Still, the Premier Boxing Champions boss always seems to adapt, with the departures of Fox and Showtime inspiring a shift to Amazon Prime. Already, the streaming platform has become a key destination for boxing events.
