  1. CANELO ALVAREZ
The face of boxing and the present pound-for-pound leader, Mexican superstar Canelo has defeated luminaries like Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Gennady Golovkin and Sergey Kovalev. He is currently chasing undisputed status at super-middleweight.
  2. NAOYA INOUE
This Japanese “Monster” has cut a swathe through the lower divisions with his destructive punch power. He is presently in possession of the WBA and IBF bantamweight belts.
  3. TERENCE CRAWFORD
A former undisputed champion at super-lightweight, the exceptionally gifted Nebraskan has been sweeping aside respected opposition at welterweight since moving up to the division in 2018.
  4. OLEKSANDR USYK
Another previous undisputed king on the list, Ukrainian marvel Usyk cemented himself as the premier cruiserweight on the planet in 2018. He has since stepped up to heavyweight, where he plans to overcome a size disadvantage with his sublime skillset.
  5. TEOFIMO LOPEZ
The spearhead of a new generation of fighters, native New Yorker Lopez pulled off a sensational upset against Vasiliy Lomachenko last year to announce himself as the undisputed ruler in the lightweight category.
  6. ERROL SPENCE JNR
A supremely talented Texan, Spence has beaten a collection of big names at welterweight, where he reigns as the WBC and IBF titlist. Boxing fans are praying that he one day collides with Crawford.
  7. VASILIY LOMACHENKO
Before his loss to Lopez, ring wizard Lomachenko was vying with Canelo for the right to be considered as the pound-for-pound supremo. A mesmerising technician, the Ukrainian is still one of the best there is.
  8. JOSH TAYLOR
The sport’s latest undisputed champ, Taylor got the better of Jose Ramirez last month to earn recognition as the main man at super-lightweight. The superb Scot has proved himself against the cream of the 140lb division.
  9. TYSON FURY
Larger than life both inside and outside the squared circle, the charismatic Fury came back from the depths to regain his position at the top of the heavyweight ladder. The giant Englishman’s unconventional style poses a nightmare for his rivals.
  10. GENNADY GOLOVKIN
Still one of the finest boxers in the world, even at nearly 40, the Kazakh will forever be regarded as one of the most fearsome middleweights that there has ever been.
