Panel: Who is the most exciting prospect in the UK right now (under 10 fights) and why?
Ben Whittaker celebrates beating Greg O'Neill on his pro debut (Lawrence Lustig)

Ryan Walsh (Former British featherweight champion)

Ben Whittaker. He was a standout amateur and has real pedigree. He looked brilliant on his debut and has all the right people behind the scenes to make him a star in the pros. He’s very good; relaxed, elusive. A star in the making.

Mark Heffron (Current British super-middleweight champion)

Off the top of my head, I would say Callum Simpson. He’s been looking really good and reminds me a bit of myself when I first turned professional and was blasting everyone out.

Tunde Ajayi (Trainer)

Joel Kodua, a middleweight signed by Frank Warren and trained and managed by me. He is waiting for his pro debut. Adam Azim is the most exciting. I laid the groundwork for the kid when he was seven or eight and know his full potential. Ben Whittaker looks to have the pedigree and star quality and relishes playing the ‘Marmite’ role. Also, I like Frazer Clarke at heavyweight, and a light-heavyweight from the Midlands called Kyle Davies.

John Fewkes (Former Central Area super-lightweight champion)

I’m going to say Keanen Wainwright. He’s a very slick and elusive southpaw with dynamite in both hands. He has made adjustments since losing (in 2019) and has learnt the hard way. He knows what it takes to be a great fighter and I think with the guidance of Glyn Rhodes and Dennis Hobson he could be one of best kids Sheffield and potentially even the UK has seen in a long time.
