Panel: What scheduled fight are you most looking forward to?

Paul Edwards
Former British champion
I really like the look of Cheeseman and Eggington but the one I’m most looking forward to is Dubois and Joyce. That’s going to be some fight, and Dubois fighting Pfeifer, what a tough match to make before that. People who don’t know the amateurs don’t understand how good he [Pfeifer] was. I don’t think it’ll phase Dubois. Nathan Bennett against Dalton Smith that’s a great match up too.

Other than Jordan Gill’s! There’s a few. I’m excited to see how Katie Taylor deals with Persoon in the rematch. I’m excited for Dillian Whyte against Povetkin. I think that’s a real good fight. I think Dillian’s got that bit too much at this stage but Povetkin is a good fighter. He has an immense left hook and he puts his hands together really well.

Alex Steedman
Television broadcaster
Dubois vs Joyce is top of the pile for the autumn while I’ve a feeling Eggington-Cheeseman and Gill-Bellotti might prove more one sided than on paper so I’ll say Whyte-Povetkin. The timing could be perfect for Dillian to put on a show but there’s usually drama nearby. I think many have some emotional investment in Whyte given his journey and the ongoing WBC farce.

Andy Clarke
Commentator
I’ll pick one I’m commentating on. Felix Cash vs Jason Welborn. I love this fight. There are echoes of Welborn’s bout vs Marcus Morrison three years ago. Jason’s been here before and is by far the more experienced of the two. Felix has shown real ability in his pro career but this is his biggest test, by a distance. A great formula.

Declan Taylor
Boxing reporter
The overdue rematch between Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon. Many people, although not me, thought Persoon won the first fight in New York but regardless of how you scored it, the styles gelled for a superb fight. I’m fascinated to see how it goes 14 months later now it’s on Eddie Hearn’s lawn and not MSG.
