Panel: How far can Hamzah Sheeraz go?

Eddie Lam (Trainer)

I think he can go all the way. He looked unreal against Liam Williams, but Liam had seen better days. You can only beat what’s in front of you. He looked outstanding. very sharp and has the power to go with it as well. He has to have better fights now and fight someone from the top 15. I definitely think he’s ready for that now.

Mark Neilson (Promoter)

I think he’s a special talent who is destined for world honours. To do what he did to the usually tough Liam Williams is a huge statement. It would be good to see Sheeraz in the ring against Chris Eubank Jr or Liam Smith. Either would be a great domestic fight which would generate a lot of interest.

Steven Broughton (Trainer)

Sheeraz can potentially go all the way and at more than one weight. He has all the tools, plus he’s been on the canvas and navigated his way albeit controversially through a tough fight with Bradley Skeete. It’s just a matter of getting him the right fights at the right time now and making sure he continues to develop.

Sean Noakes (Welterweight prospect)

I think he can go all the way. That jab of his is unbelievable. Every shot he throws is with bad intentions and he’s very classy with it at the same time. I favoured Sheeraz to beat Williams, but I wasn’t sure how it would go particularly if a good Liam Williams turned up. By the end of the year Hamzah Sheeraz will be knocking on the door for a world title if not fighting for one.
