THE first session of semi-finals begins at the Barys Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan at 3pm local time, 10am in the UK, 5am Eastern time in the USA. Our reporter John Dennen is ringside with the latest updates.
USA’s Marlen Esparza will be first up in the 48kgs semi-final against China’s Yuyan Wang. Ireland’s 64kgs Kellie Harrington will be the fifth bout. She’s boxing Canada’s Sara Kali.
In the second session Nicola Adams is due to box Kazakhstan’s Zhaina Shekerbekova at 2pm (UK time) in the first 51kgs semi-final. Katie Taylor will be the fifth bout this afternoon, Savannah Marshall the eighth.
