THE surreal is becoming real.
Once upon a time matching the star of the UFC, mixed martial artist Conor McGregor with Floyd Mayweather, the finest boxer of his era in a 12 round prizefight seemed an unlikely prospect. But it’s happening and ahead of their August 26 showdown it’s time for the first Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor press conference, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Tuesday.
McGregor has never had a professional boxing bout before, but now is not the time for fighting. It’s time to talk and there are few more outspoken characters than the Irishman. We’ll see what he has to say and how Floyd Mayweather reacts.
