Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor: don’t hate – appreciate
Chris Farina/Mayweather Promotions

I’M shocked with all the hate and negative talk about the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight, coming from boxers and boxing ‘fans’.

People are saying “this is bad for boxing,” this makes me laugh… How is it bad for boxing? If Mayweather wins in two rounds, that’s great for boxing as it shows that a top boxer will beat a top MMA fighter.

If Conor KO’d Mayweather in five rounds, that’s great for boxing as boxing will have a new star. These guys are going to make over $100 million each, which other sport can you do that in? None, so again this is great for boxing, showing people this sort of money can be made. I really can’t see this doing anything but good for the sport.

The likes of Osar De La Hoya, I heard he wrote a letter trying to get this fight stopped, this is just jealousy of Mayweather. He offered McGregor to fight Canelo, so he was all for it at one time, now he’s not getting a piece of this HUGE pie, he doesn’t want the guy who beat him to receive the biggest payday ever.

I’m so excited for this, what is going to be the biggest boxing fight of my lifetime, the king of boxing fighting the king of MMA in a boxing match.

Two of the flashiest, biggest personalities that sports, not just boxing but SPORT have ever seen, going to meet in the sport we love – boxing. This will probably never happen again, so why not in our lifetime.

It’s about entertainment; there’s nothing I’m looking forward to more than the build-up for this fight.

Boxers and boxing fans … chill out with the hate; it’s happening, relax and enjoy, I know I will
