Dublin shooting – Eyewitness account from top official

Top referee and judge Mickey Vann was present at the horrific Dublin shooting that left a man dead at the Regency Hotel last Friday (February 5). He writes about the confusing experience in a Guest Column in this week’s issue of Boxing News magazine. This is out now on our app and the print version is in stores on Thursday (February 11). Here is an excerpt.

I wasn’t scared, I was confused. I couldn’t understand why two policemen had come into the room, shot someone and then walked out. People were screaming at me to dial 999, to call an ambulance, and I snapped out of my haze. I then realised they couldn’t have been proper policemen. .
