UNBEATEN middleweight contender Anthony Ogogo is a 16/1 underdog to win BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The 2012 Olympic Bronze medallist is taking part in the show while recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered in his last bout, a unanimous decision win over Ruslan Schelev in July.

Bookies have installed Ogogo as a 16/1 underdog ahead of the first weekend of dancing, with the likes of journalist Jeremy Vine, weather reporter Carol Kirkwood and TV chef Ainsley Harriott given the longest odds to win the whole show.

Paired with Strictly’s newest professional dancer, Oti Mabuse, the Lowesoft boxer’s chances of success are likely to be hindered by his injury. His entry into the show follows from London 2012 gold medallist Luke Campbell’s stint on ITV’s Dancing On Ice two years ago.

While some have criticised Ogogo’s decision to join the show, he maintains that it’s a good way to raise his profile while working his way back to full fitness.

Peter Andre is the favourite to win, at odds of 5/2 at the early stages.

Whatever the case, my money’s on Harriott. What a guy.
