CHARLIE FLYNN is an unlikely hero of 2014. Not the smoothest of boxers, he has so much heart, put in so much effort that he dragged more celebrated opponents into real fights, imposed his will on them and became a crowd favourite as he won gold at Glasgow 2014. A huge character, a postman he turned professional and will be a key part of Matchroom’s plans to reinvigorate boxing in Scotland.
