    Technically talented and as tough as nails, popular Coatbridge warrior Burns has claimed versions of the world title at three different weights – from super-featherweight through to super-lightweight.
  2. MARTIN MURRAY (38)
    Another gritty fighter with sound technical skills, St Helens’ Murray has fought for world honours on five separate occasions – three times at middleweight and twice at super-middleweight.
  3. DERECK CHISORA (36)
    One of British boxing’s most colourful and controversial characters, unpredictable Finchley heavyweight Chisora is an ex-WBC title challenger and long-time contender on the world scene.
  4. JOE JOYCE (35)
    The man of the moment and reigning British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight king, Putney’s Joyce is coming off a stunning knockout victory over the previously unbeaten Daniel Dubois.
  5. STEPHEN SMITH (35)
    A former two-weight British titlist and IBF super-featherweight title contestant, Liverpool’s “Swifty” – one of the famous fighting Smith brothers – has mixed with some noteworthy names.
  6. DAVID PRICE (37)
    A huge hitter but vulnerable defensively, giant Liverpudlian Price has provided excitement aplenty over the years. The affable hulk is a past British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion.
  7. BRIAN ROSE (35)
    Boasting fine fundamentals and an abundance of heart, Blackpool’s Rose won the coveted Lonsdale Belt outright at super-welterweight, before later challenging for the WBO championship.
  8. ASHLEY THEOPHANE (40)
    Paddington’s globetrotting Theophane has never been afraid to fight on the road. A previous WBA super-lightweight title challenger, he has shared a ring with the likes of Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner.
  9. CALLUM JOHNSON (35)
    Hailing from Boston in Lincolnshire, the heavy-handed Johnson powered his way to British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight belts, prior to giving fearsome IBF ruler Artur Beterbiev a scare.
  10. BOB AJISAFE (35)
    Always an awkward and dangerous opponent, Leeds’ tricky Ajisafe has formerly held British and Commonwealth straps in the light-heavyweight division.
