THE richly anticipated Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko rematch looks set to ahead to America with promoter Eddie Hearn eyeing a date and a venue for the contest.
If Klitschko accepts the rematch, the Joshua fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on November 11. “I met with the MGM and met with the T-Mobile Arena, Vegas is the front runner and November 11 is the date that is pencilled in,” Hearn told Sky Sports News.
He has recently been to Las Vegas to visit the site and revealed he is getting a licence to promote events in Nevada. “I’ve been in Vegas with AJ, officially applying for my Nevada boxing license to promote there and that went well,” he added.

Joshua himself has been in Las Vegas, where he also visited the Floyd Mayweather gym and was pictured with Mayweather, who has his own fight at the T-Mobile Arena, against UFC star Conor McGregor, on August 26.

The rematch however will not be confirmed until Klitschko accepts the proposal. Joshua beat Klitschko in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley stadium in London, halting the former champion in 11 rounds in what was a thrilling fight.
If the Ukrainian declines, Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev is the mandatory challenger for Joshua’s IBF title, with that likely to take place in the UK.
