Not Again: Taylor vs. Catterall II has been postponed
Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall (Mark Robinson Matchroom)

ACCORDING to ESPN, the rematch between Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall, scheduled for April 27 in Leeds, has unfortunately been postponed.

The cause of the postponement is an injury suffered by Taylor, though no further details have been provided on that front. The postponement was, however, confirmed to BN by two separate sources.

This of course is not the first time Taylor vs. Catterall II has run into trouble and had to be pushed back. Nor will this latest postponement do much to assuage the fear of those who feel Taylor and Catterall are, despite having unfinished business, destined to never meet again.

That said, Mike Coppinger, reporting for ESPN, did mention the possibility of the fight receiving a new a date in late May, which is a positive. Indeed, given both the injury to Taylor and the history these two super-lightweights share, a date in late May sounds like the best possible scenario.

Update: Per a Matchroom Boxing press release, the Taylor vs. Catterall fight has been rescheduled for May 25 at the same venue in Leeds.
