WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO has slammed IBF & WBA heavyweight champion Tyson Fury ahead of their July 9 rematch and claims he is “embarrassed” for boxing because of Fury.

Fury outfoxed Klitschko for the titles – and the IBF belt, which was swiftly stripped from him – last year, and the pair will meet again at the Manchester Arena.

The outspoken Fury has caused controversy with his comments about women and homosexuals, and Klitschko vows to claim back the lineal title.

“I am embarrassed for the sport of boxing to have a heavyweight champion like Fury,” he told talkSPORT.

“I do not accept anything that comes out of his mouth, which is disgraceful to a lot of people. The statement he makes are not what a heavyweight world champion should say. There are so many Klitschko fans even in Manchester saying: ‘please, do it for us, knock him out!

“I am here in Manchester, in his hometown, and I am looking forward to getting my revenge.

“I made a mistake in the last fight and for the first time in 11-and-a-half years I lost. In the past with the three losses I had I have always come back stronger – and I will come back again.”

Klitschko had been stopped by Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster earlier in his career, but came back to win numerous world titles.

Prior to his loss to Fury, the Ukrainian was on a dominant run which had seem him scalp the likes of David Haye, Alexander Povetkin and Ruslan Chagaev.
