WITH a plethora of top level boxing taking place this weekend, fans are in for a right treat and, thankfully, it’s all available on the small screen.
Us Brits have three of our countryman in world title fights and all have a decent chance of coming away with the goods. Martin Murray takes on Arthur Abraham in Germany, Anthony Crolla fights Darleys Perez for a second time in Manchester and Lee Haskins finally gets his shot at Randy Caballero over in Las Vegas. Of course, Haskins’ fight appears on the undercard of the big one – Miguel Cotto v Canelo Alvarez.
Furthermore, there shouldn’t be any scheduling clashes meaning that – if you’re up for it – you could watch all of Saturday night/Sunday morning’s boxing in one go. What a time to be alive.
Here’s a rundown of the estimated broadcast times for the main fights this weekend:
SATURDAY 21:
8.00pm Sky Sports 1
The Manchester show, topped by Perez-Crolla 2, kicks off. There are nine fights on the bill in total, though Sky haven’t yet announced which will be the first televised contest. However, unbeaten prospects Charlie Edwards and Ryan Burnett both have domestic title fights on the show and they should both be aired, as well as Tyrone Nurse’s rematch with Chris Jenkins.
9.45pm(ish) Sky Sports 1
Sky’s coverage should switch to the TUI Arena in Germany at this point – could be slightly earlier though – to provide coverage of Martin Murray’s attempt at Arthur Abraham’s WBO world super-middleweight title.
10.45pm(ish) Sky Sports 1
Around this time, the broadcast should pick up the action in Manchester again for Crolla’s world title tilt against WBA champion Perez. Of course, this largely depends on how long Murray-Abraham lasts for, but as it’s all on the same channel, none of the action will be missed.

The monster Las Vegas show gets underway as Haskins gets his shot at world glory against IBF king Caballero. The fight is set to start very soon after midnight so make sure you tune in on time to catch it.
2.45am (ish) BoxNation
Guillermo Rigondeaux, the usurped king of the super-bantamweight division, ends his recent bout of inactivity against Drian Francisco.
3.45am (ish) BoxNation
Takashi Miura defends his WBC super-featherweight title against Francisco Vargas – a great co-feature to a mouth-watering main event.
4.30am (ish) BoxNation
Finally, Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez will meet in the ring. This estimated time is pretty solid, regardless of how the other contests on the bill go, but obviously make sure you’re settled in beforehand.
