MATCHROOM’S massive Manchester show kicks off and there will be two British title fights – Sam Eggington versus Glenn Foot and Chris Jenkins opposing Tyrone Nurse – plus Martin Murray’s bout before the two big ones.

CHRIS ARREOLA, the enigmatic and outspoken American heavyweight, should be ready to go around this time, and faces Fred Kassi in El Paso, Texas as the chief support to Carl Frampton-Alejandro Gonzalez Jnr.

SCOTT QUIGG sets about powerful Spaniard and former IBF king Kiko Martinez but the time taken up by previous bouts will determine the exact start time – Sky are aiming for 10pm though. The Bury man won’t care when it starts, only how it finishes.

CARL FRAMPTON makes his US debut against the unheralded Alejandro Gonzalez Jnr in El Paso, Texas. The Belfast sensation should prove a delight to the local US audience and to the terrestrial one back at home.

ANTHONY CROLLA is unlikely to start his bid for world title glory before 10.30pm so while people may have to choose between super-bantam stars Quigg and Frampton, everyone sould be able to watch most of the Manchester hero’s biggest fight, against WBA ruler Darleys Perez.

ARTHUR ABRAHAM and Robert Stieglitz will have to be content with live coverage of their fight on Sat 1 in their homeland as the German rivals’ fourth battle (which should actually take place around 9.45pm UK time) will be shown delayed on Sky, following the conclusion of the big Manchester card. The channel also hope to broadcast undefeated Lowestoft middleweight Anthony Ogogo’s comeback from injury against Ruslan Schelev but this is not guaranteed.
