Undercard unveiled for Frazer Clarke vs. Jeamie TKV

ATOP a landmark card for Boxxer and Ben Shalom, Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV collide in a bout to determine the new British heavyweight champion. Now, the undercard for the bill, which takes place in two weeks’ time, has been formally announced.

Clarke, 9-1-1 (7 KOs), twice challenged Fabio Wardley for the same title last year but a draw, followed by a devastating first-round knockout defeat in their rematch, derailed the progression of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medallist.

Meanwhile, TKV, real name Jeamie Tshikeva, 8-2 (5 KOs), fought David Adeleye back in April for the belt after Wardley vacated, and was ahead on the cards before being controversially stopped by ‘Big D’ in round six of their much-disputed encounter.

Now both men seek to finally get their hands on the Lonsdale Belt, as Clarke and Tshikeva headline Boxxer’s first event since signing to a new broadcaster in the BBC, who will make the fight free to watch for the British public.

This morning, Boxxer took to social media to reveal four of their undercard bouts for Clarke-TKV bill and promised that there will be more fights added soon.

Fran Hennessy, 6-0 (1 KO), will seek to continue her impressive start to the professional ranks when tasked with Czech Republic’s Fabiana Bytyqi, 22-2-2 (5 KOs), in the super-bantamweight division.

Whilst Bytyqi is comfortably 20-year-old Hennessy’s toughest opponent to date as a former world champion, her success came in the atomweight division, where she held the WBC title as recently as last year.

Meanwhile, in the standout contest prior to the main-event, Redcar’s Bobby Dalton, 11-0 (2 KOs), attempts a first defence of his English welterweight title against Dagenham-born Joel Kodua, 9-0 (2 KOs), in a battle between two undefeated 147lbers.

Dalton overcame Ben Vaughan for the title back in July, whilst Kodua knocked out Daniel Francis to claim the Southern Area strap in June, and their meeting may well steal the show come fight night.

Game cruiserweight contender Jack Massey, 22-3 (12 KOs), makes his long-awaited return to action, ending a one-year hiatus from the ring after being halted by Jai Opetaia when challenging for the IBF world title last year.

‘One Smack’ Massey takes on hard-hitting Argentinian Ivan Gabriel Garcia, 10-4-1 (10 KOs), in his comeback, who possesses a deceptive record and is sure to provide a stern test.

Last but not least is the return of highly rated middleweight prospect Mauro Silva, 9-0 (4 KOs), fighting for a fourth time this calendar and aiming to follow up an eye-catching showing on the Simpson-Zucco card at Oakwell in the summer with a similar performance.

Portuguese-born and Manchester-raised ‘Super Mario’ is matched with Coventry’s Bradley Goldsmith, 13-1 (9 KOs), who lost out to Troy Coleman when bidding for the Midlands title back in April.

Clarke-TKV will take place at Vaillant Live in Derby on Saturday, October 25, and will be available to watch live on BBC2.
