AN injury has caused a delay to the British heavyweight title clash between Frazer Clarke and Jeamie Tshikeva, but whilst the main event is set to take place at a later date, one fight on the undercard has collapsed.
Clarke, 9-1-1 (7 KOs), and Tshikeva, 8-2 (5 KOs), also known as ‘Jeamie TKV’, were poised to collide with one another on Saturday, October 25, at the Vaillant Live Arena in Derby to determine the next holder of the coveted Lonsdale Belt.
However, a rib injury sustained by TKV during training has led to the delay of the card, with a new date of Saturday, November 29, set for what will be Boxxer’s first BBC-broadcasted event.
The remainder of the card has also been moved to the new fight date, all except for the middleweight contest involving Portuguese-born Mauro Silva, 9-0 (4 KOs), and Bradley Goldsmith, 13-1 (9 KOs).
Speaking on his Instagram, Silva explained that his fight will no longer be going ahead ‘due to circumstances and information that he is unable to share at this time’.
“To my supporters, family, and friends — I want to sincerely apologize for not being able to compete at the end of this year as originally planned.
“Due to circumstances and information that I’m unable to share at this time, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to step back for the remainder of 2025.
“I deeply appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support through this period. I’ll be back in the ring, fully ready and focused, ‘D4G’ taking over in 2026. Inshallah.”
As a result, there is now a total of just four scheduled fights for the Clarke-Tshikeva card. It is expected that at least one additional contest will be added to bolster the bill, which takes place in five weeks’ time.
