Unbeaten cruiserweight Scott Forrest faces Deevorn Miller test

AN intriguing encounter between British cruiserweights Scott Forrest and Deevorn Miller has now been added to the undercard of Callum Simpson vs Steed Woodall.

The pair will square off at the Park Community Arena in Sheffield, England, elevating Sky Sports and Boxxer’s 2025 curtain raiser on January 11.

Since turning professional following a solid amateur career in 2022, Forrest has amassed six comprehensive victories with three of which arriving inside the distance.

While not being the most towering cruiserweight – standing at around 6ft 2in – the 30-year-old nonetheless has the physical prowess to compete with his domestic rivals at 200 lbs.

Often marching into range with a tight guard, the Scotsman has proven to be a sturdy puncher on the inside, allowing his superior strength to take control.

But now, the unproven prospect must test himself against Miller, a marginally more experienced operator who carries plenty of firepower in both fists.

The Londoner has suffered just two defeats in 10 contests, losing on points to Lewis Oakford in both his professional debut and last outing.

And yet, despite falling short against his bogeyman on two separate occasions, Miller has equally proven that he can switch an opponent’s lights out at any given moment.

Elsewhere on the card, Caroline Dubois will make the first defence of her WBC lightweight crown against Jessica Camara, whose best win arguably came against Heather Hardy back in 2021.

And, of course, the main event, too, is set to deliver a thrilling spectacle, with prolific ticket seller Simpson defending his British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles against all-action challenger Woodhall.
