Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua reportedly ‘agreed’ with broadcaster set

For years, fight fans around the world have been clamouring for a showdown between two of Britain’s best heavyweights, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Now, it seems as though the pair may finally meet, with an agreement reportedly in place.

Fury and Joshua have been rumoured for a fight with one another for almost a decade, but to no avail, with promotional obstacles, ego’s, logistics and timing consistently getting in the way in what would be one of the biggest events in British boxing history.

Although, after years of back and forth, both men have lost their world titles and are approaching the twilight years of their respective careers. Even so, the demand for their long-awaited meeting remains.

With each man eager to return to the peak of the division, they have once again been touted for a fight with one another and esteemed boxing journalist, Gareth A. Davies, told talkSPORT that he understands that the fight has already been ‘agreed’ and will be shown live on Netflix.

“He [Joshua] is going to have a warm-up fight. Listen, the Fury-Joshua fight is signed, OK. It is signed in the background, I have got that on good authority. I can’t put it out there as a scoop, but they are moving towards it.

“It is with the big money people. It will be on Netflix. It is agreed, they are moving towards it, they both want the fight.”

Anthony Joshua is expected to return to action this summer, with a rematch against Dillian Whyte believed to be one of the options. Meanwhile, Fury makes his comeback when he takes on Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov next month.
