Tyson Fury has revealed a three-man hit list for 2026, promising to face at least one high-profile opponent by the end of the year.

It was just two days ago that ‘The Gypsy King’ took to social media to fully confirm his comeback, declaring that he has ‘nothing better to do than punch’.

The announcement came as no surprise, with Fury having teased a possible return ever since he tentatively hung up his gloves. It was around a year ago that the former world champion decided – albeit for a short while – to exit the sport on his terms, shortly after suffering a second points defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

Yet despite retiring on the back of two losses, the manner in which he fell short against Usyk, both times in 2024, suggested that he still had plenty left in the tank.

And now the 37-year-old has finally taken the plunge back in, posting several social media clips of himself training for an expected return at some point in the coming months.

On his Instagram story yesterday, ‘The Gypsy King’ revealed an image of himself staring across the ring at Usyk, Anthony Joshua and WBO world champion Fabio Wardley, indicating that all of those heavyweights are on his hit list.

Usyk may entertain a trilogy bout with Fury, but is currently in talks to put his three titles on the line against Deontay Wilder. Joshua, following a fatal car crash that injured him and killed two of his closest friends, has matters bigger than boxing as it stands. Finally, Wardley, currently in the market for an opponent, may not find a bigger name in the UK if he wants to make a statement in the first defence of his belt.

All of the names suggest that the Morecambe man still has genuine ambitions to compete at the top level of his division. However, fans can expect his initial comeback fight, slated for the first half of this year, to be against a lower level opponent.
