THIS YEAR’S biggest boxing event now has new undercard additions.
On September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Canelo Alvarez will defend his undisputed super-middleweight championship against two-weight undisputed king Terence Crawford.
The generational super-fight is now less than five weeks away, and today Turki Alalshikh took to social media platform X to confirm three more bouts for the card.

In the super-welterweight division, Irish contender Callum Walsh 14-0 (11 KOs) will meet Fernando Vargas Jr 17-0 (15 KOs). Walsh, from Cork, has been making his name on UFC Fight Pass but will now step onto the global stage on Netflix. Vargas Jr – the son of former super-welterweight champion Fernando Vargas Sr – is also taking a step up in class.

At super-middleweight, leading contender Christian Mbilli, 29-0 (24 KOs), will defend his WBC Interim title against Lester Martinez, 19-0 (16 KOs), with the winner potentially positioning themselves for a shot at the main event victor.
The third addition sees lightweight prospect Mohammed Alakel 4-0 appear in his sixth high-profile card, this time against John Ornelas 5-2-1 (2 KOs). Before that, Alakel will be in action this Saturday in Riyadh on the Moses Itauma–Dillian Whyte undercard, taking on Yumnam Santosh Singh 3-6-1 (1 KO).
