The undefeated American holds the ‘regular’ version of the WBA’s world welterweight title so a fight with Brook would be a unification, of sorts. Far more interesting would be how these two boxer-punchers would square off, with someone’s unblemished record destined to be marred. ‘One Time’ Thurman has stopped 22 of his 26 victims although has eschewed his past aggression for more reserved boxing in his most recent outings. Both men are young, eager to succeed and tipped for big things by those outside the ropes and a make-or-break fight between the two would propel the winner toward stardom.
