HAVING secured the biggest win of his career seven months ago, when narrowly beating Vasiliy Lomachenko, Devin Haney has now decided to leave the lightweight division in order to make his debut at super-lightweight this Saturday (December 9) against Regis Prograis, the WBC belt-holder.

Haney’s razor thin success over Lomachenko in May was the cherry on top after winning all four belts at 135lbs, and his move north to super-lightweight, a division also featuring Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia, was an expected one. Prograis, meanwhile, is looking to rediscover the form which saw him regarded as the best at 140lbs until he was beaten by Josh Taylor in 2019.
