The rivalry between the Eubank and Benn families continues once again this evening as Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn meet in their rematch.
Over 30 years on from when their fathers had a bitter feud, Chris and Conor picked up right where it was left off when they met back in April, with Eubank Jr claiming a unanimous decision victory.
The rematch now takes place this evening, and with many boxing figures all making their predictions on how they believe the second meeting may go, former world champion Steve Collins has offered his take having beaten both Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn during his own career.
Speaking to Talksport Boxing, Collins first shared his thoughts on the first meeting back in April.
“The first third of the fight, I had Conor winning. He had a perfect fight plan, and he went off the fight plan. His dad said if he’d stuck to the fight plan, he’d have won, and maybe he could have. Maybe he went off the plan cause Eubank made him and he could have prevented it.”
He then moved on to the rematch, admitting that he can see paths to victory for both fighters.
“Either one can win it. It’s who prepares the best and sticks to the fight plan cause both guys are capable of beating the other, we saw that in the first fight.”
Derek Chisora has also offered his take on tonight’s rematch, claiming that one man has to win by knockout to have any chance of victory.
