Ahead of Floyd Mayweather‘s rematch with Manny Pacquiao, former foe Shane Mosley has shared his view on the power of the boxing legend.

Mayweather will end his retirement after nearly 10 years without a professional fight when he takes on Pacquiao at The Sphere in Las Vegas on September 19.

It is the second meeting between the two men, after the boxing icons originally fought in May 2015, with Mayweather claiming a victory on that occasion.

Another man who knows what it is like to take on Mayweather is three-weight world champion Mosley, with the pair colliding back in 2010.

The fight saw Mosley rock his opponent with a big shot in the second round, but Mayweather was able to recover and secure the unanimous decision win.

Having experienced what it is like to go 12 rounds with the boxing great, Mosley gave his take on his past rival’s power.

“I was surprised about his power. When you attack Floyd, he has a way of making you run into it and you feel the power like a collision. But when you kind of box away from him, yes he has power but not like he does when you try and attack him. He’s not weak, he’s strong, he trains hard and does all the things you’re supposed to do as a champion to be the best.”

Along with facing Mayweather, Mosley also took on Pacquiao during his career, with the Filipino earning a victory on points, and Mosley has revealed who he deems to be the better of the two ahead of their rematch.
