Ryan Garcia has lifted the lid on Jake Paul‘s sparring for next week’s fight against Anthony Joshua.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul takes on an extremely ambitious challenge next Friday when he faces two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, with the event broadcast live on Netflix.

Paul was originally pencilled in to face WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis in an exhibition in November, but after that contest was scrapped, he acted quickly to secure the professional bout with Joshua instead.

In order to prepare for the fight, ‘The Problem Child’ has drafted in a number of heavyweight contenders, including Lawrence Okolie, Jared Anderson and Frank Sanchez.

Things may not have gone to plan though, after welterweight star Garcia revealed on a live stream that he has heard that the heavyweights have been getting the better of Paul in sparring.

“He’s getting knocked out [against Joshua]. I heard word that he’s getting beat up in sparring by these heavyweights, and these aren’t Anthony Joshua – I’m leaking some s**t.

“He was so desperate when that fight fell off [with Davis] that he’s like ‘damn I got to make Netflix happy.’ He hit me up I said no. Boom, Anthony Joshua. He’s trying to please people. He’s made a mistake, 100 per cent for sure.”

Garcia has been linked to a fight with Paul for an extended period of time but it has never materialised, with ‘King Ry’ instead set to return to action in February with an expected WBC welterweight title fight against Mario Barrios.
