  1. w pts 15 Sugar Ray Leonard (1980)

The beginning of a legendary rivalry, Duran handed Leonard his first professional loss in one of the greatest fights of all time.

  1. w rsf 13 Ken Buchanan (1972)

Duran won his first world title – the WBA lightweight crown – by destroying reigning champion Buchanan in what was then seen as an upset.

  1. w pts 12 Iran Barkley (1989)

Past his best and having suffered recent losses to Marvin Hagler, Tommy Hearns and Robbie Sims, Duran proved critics wrong by winning the WBC middleweight title against Barkley.

Arguably Duran’s most destructive performance, he manhandled the WBA super-welterweight champion, rebuilding his name after the ‘No Mas’ incident.

  1. w ko 11 Esteban De Jesus (1974)

Duran avenged his only defeat at lightweight by getting off the canvas early on and knocking out De Jesus.

  1. w ko 14 Ray Lampkin (1975)

On a sweltering night, Duran wore Lampkin down before dispatching him. Lampkin had a brief stint in hospital afterwards.

In his last fight as a lightweight, Duran unified the world titles by stopping his old rival in 12.

Despite being the smaller man, Duran pushed the middleweight supremo hard, but dropped a close decision.

Palomino was a class welterweight and Duran’s first real test at the weight, but Roberto dropped him in the sixth and earned a clear decision.

A former welterweight champion and a feared puncher, Cuevas was decimated by a marauding Duran.
